Original drawings + unique ideas = imaginative images for download!

I love drawing from life, and elephants have always been a favorite subject. My college art professor Francis Meyers liked them too, and that inspired me. Exhibits and sales of my original art have featured mostly figure drawings and watercolors, but now the Paper by 53 app allows new adventures on the iPad. To date, anything I have sold to a buyer (who didn't know me or someone who knew me) was an elephant!

The year 2016 marks a time of great pride for my hometown of Cleveland. The distinctive buildings of the downtown skyline remind me of massive elephant legs, prompting me to combine the two. Sketches done at the zoo and photos provide references for CLElephants, my own original images with imaginative colors. So far they have taken shape as blank note cards and framed prints.

For 44 years I enjoyed teaching young artists at Cleveland Central Catholic High School. During that time many of my own creative pursuits backlogged, and upon retirement the floodgates opened. Marketing my work has created new challenges. While hoping to share my creative ideas with others, in my heart I just want to get back to the drawing board!
